Risk reduction is the most common reason for company's to implement drug screening. Testing is performed to identify employees who are drug users and who may pose a risk to themselves, their fellow employees, the public or the business. This may be an illicit or prescribed drug.

Carepoint provide urine drug screening collection in-clinic or onsite performed to AS/NZS 4308:2008 Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs in urine. Carepoint review the drug screen result to advise any concerns a medication may have on the outcome of an applicant’s fitness to work.
Confidentiality is an essential element of the reporting practice for all testing procedures particularly drug screening.
oral fluid (saliva) screening kits
Carepoint are able to supply and/or administer kits for employers and candidates. Collection is performed in line with AS 4760:2006 Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs in oral fluid requirements.

for cause
For cause testing is a deterrent to suspicious style behaviour, protection to damage to people or property, or a retest for previous reticent behaviour. For candidates deemed to be "under the influence" For Cause testing with Carepoint is available.
Available at a Carepoint clinic or alternatively if you have a large or remote workforce you may choose to do these screens yourself. From July 2009, an Australian Standard has been introduced to ensure consistency with this collection.

Random Screening of your workplace is available in line with your workplace policy.
Carepoint has developed a Random Sample Selector (RSS) to assist with random selection of workers. It is designed to provide absolute confidentiality by analyzing and selecting random numbers from a file of numbers sent in by an employer. This service is available throughout WA.
