Recent studies have found that the annual financial cost of cardiovascular (heart) disease in Australia is $14.2 billion, which includes lost productivity.(i) In response to these alarming statistics Carepoint has developed the healthy heart check.
The healthy heart check offers each participant a health check complete with an action plan that includes recommendations. The results can then be reported in group-data form to provide direction of your on-going health promotion program.

Employees who are identified with symptoms and may require further diagnosis can be identified and referred early, often before any obvious symptoms of disease develop.
The components of the health heart check include:

  • Family history risk
  • Blood pressure
  • Height and weight
  • BMI
  • Blood cholesterol
  • Blood glucose
  • Analysis with recommendations
  • Individual action plan
