HLTHSE204B - Follow safe manual handling practices
This is a Nationally Endorsed training unit recognised anywhere in Australia. It meets the recommendations set by Work Safe and conforms to the NTIS training guidelines. It includes relevant sections of the Act and Code of Practice and, in keeping with the adult learning theory, provides for a number of practical learning applications.
This training involves the group in intensive participation and provides feedback on the competency of each participant.
The knowledge gained includes an understanding of:
  • How to reduce undue wear & tear by working with the forces that interact with the body systems rather than against them
  • How to reduce the risk for the development of an inguinal hernia when lifting
The new skills can be applied straight away through a practical coaching and competency assessment process that is conducted in the workplace.

The programme includes an assessment process and targeted stretches to reduce the risk for specific injury types.
The training and brochure will be customized to the client specifications.
