The injury management coordinator plays a pivotal role in workers' compensation. You add value by communicating with all parties involved in order to identify, provide and coordinate the services necessary for successful rehabilitation.
This three day workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to coordinate successful return to work programs in the workplace including:
  • Overview of responsibilities under Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, Regulations and Code of Practice for Injury Management
  • Future directions in good injury management principles and case management
  • How to build and maintain rapport with your injured employees
  • The importance of communication
  • How to write successful return to work programs
Each participant will gain a skilled understanding of the influence of workers compensation insurance parameters and the process for establishing measurable outcomes, monitoring and reporting in line with legislative requirements.

How to gain partial completion of the eight units required to achieve a Diploma of OH&S (BSB51604)?
The Carepoint injury management coordinators course will provide successful participants with a Statement of Attainment evidencing competency in two of the required National Units of Competency:
  • FNSWCMP401B: Plan and implement rehabilitation and return to work strategies
  • BSBHRM509A: Manage rehabilitation or return-to-work programs
