Although rare, asbestos is a significant human hazard and very dangerous when exposed in its fibrous form.
The asbestos awareness session ensures all participants understand the relevant facts and information related to the potential hazards associated with exposure to asbestos. Roles and responsibilities in relation to identification, containment and control are detailed during the session.

chemical hazards
This session covers the safe handling of chemicals at work including personal protective equipment (PPE) and material safety data sheets (MSDS). The consequences of failure to follow company policies and procedure are also explored.
Participants will learn to access and review MSDS sheets, to plan and implement safe chemical handling procedures and to monitor and report safety issues.

The injury management coordinator plays a pivotal role in workers' compensation. You add value by communicating with all parties involved in order to identify, provide and coordinate the services necessary for successful rehabilitation.
This workshop is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to coordinate successful return to work programs in the workplace including; responsibilities under the Worker's Compensation and Injury Management Act; communication skills and writing successful RTW programs.

noise awareness
Hearing loss is permanent and occurs predominantly in working men between the ages of 35 and 60 years.
This session incorporates the importance of hearing and the causes and prevention of hearing loss in the workplace. An understanding of the WorkCover Legislation is explained in addition to the purposes for hearing tests and 16 hours quiet time.

scrub up to scrub out risk
Hazardous substances, harmful vapours and other substances can all result in industrial illness and allergic contact dermatitis. Illness and allergy can be avoided through preventative measures such as personal hygiene. It is important for all workers to understand how the risks occur and what can be done to avoid them.
Participants will learn the causes and measures necessary to prevent Industrial exposure to hazardous substances, utilising PPE correctly and to apply effective industrial hygiene techniques.

solutions at work is a staff development and change management program that aims to build the capability and capacity of managers and supervisors by gaining well developed interpersonal skills. Such skills offer to save considerable time, aggravation, and stress and will lead to many supervisors and managers achieving a better balance between time and available resources.
